Welcoming 2010

We had grand plans for celebrating the end of 2009 and bringing in the new year 2010. We decided to enjoy the beauty of the newly fallen snow and the really sunny day. It was awesome. To really appreciate all the beauty that winter can bring to Utah we headed to our favorite little getaway...Park City.

Before our stop there we traveled to Soldier Hollow just outside the city for some tubing. This was an Olympic venue and is now the longest sledding hill in Utah. Thanks to big fancy tubes and a very convenient tow rope, our first tubing adventure was really fun!

Jeremy took Ty on the big hills while I stayed at the bottom with Cameron. He was getting antsy just sitting there watching so I grabbed a tube, put him inside and pulled him around all over the area at the bottom of the hill. He seriously loved it! And actually fell asleep inside after about 20 minutes of fun.

Jeremy and Ty headed up the tow rope for some fun. Me, being the worried mom I am watched every move as they headed up the hill hoping Ty didn't fall out, but also knowing perfectly that he is in good hands with his dad nearby. Jeremy is so safe with them. Still I worry. Ty however did not look worried at all. He had a great time.

Ok maybe a little worry as he got going down the hill. Jeremy held onto his tube the whole time so they would go down together. The background scenery here is so pretty!

Once he realized he was safe (he really trusts his dad) he enjoyed the ride! At the bottom he couldn't wait to go down again.

Here's a whole video of the trip down. Notice Jeremy's hand in the bottom right corner carefully guiding Ty. He's such a good dad.

We ate some lunch in the cafe.

Then headed to Park City to enjoy an evening at the St. Regis.

Nothing like a game of chess with the guys.

Cameron really got into the chess game as you can hear by his chatter...watch below...you'll also notice that in this chess game, dice are used and Cam thinks he can help daddy win by sneakily dropping the pieces on the floor.

The view from the funicular at night was amazing. Lots of lights and snow. It was dreamy.

Here is our sweet little family. The boys are so fun to be with, so fun to do things with. We look forward to the next time we all do things together. Whether it's home in the living room coloring or out on the town in Park City, we love being together and enjoying these sweet spirits that came to live in our house. Happy New Year my little one's! It's going to be great!
