It was a very fun birthday party for Ty. His day started out with friends and neighbors stopping by to say Happy Birthday and bring gifts. Ty is pretty popular here in the neighborhood!
The theme began with the invitation. Ty loves the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I even bought him the DVD and he loves watching that too...so we went with it and planned a Very Hungry Caterpillar Party!

The cake was very fun to make. Jeremy's sister Alisa helped and she is a pro at cake decorating. I couldn't have done it without her!

We started the party with a very cute craft, where all the cousins made their own very hungry caterpillar out of egg cartons, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners. What kid craft isn't complete without those things?
We then watched The Very Hungry Caterpillar DVD, which was followed by a Very Hungry Caterpillar Game, where you had to find five Very Hungry Caterpillars and get five holes punched in your leaf.
Next we had dinner and it was great! We had fruit salad (made by Grandma Cox) that had all the fruit The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate. We also had a yummy Mediterranean pasta salad (made by Auntie Emily). For the main course....PIZZA! Here is the kid table. Ty got to sit there and had lots of help from his cousins eating his fruit and pizza.

After dinner it was time to open gifts! Ty wasn't really interested at first and kept trying to crawl away, but once he got the hang of it he stuck around and LOVED each and every gift he received. It was all Very exciting.

The night ended with cake and ice cream and more visiting and playing with cousins. Ty got the head of the caterpillar all to himself, but was more interested in playing with it than actually eating it, although it was Very good!

A Very good time was had by all! The End.
