The Perfect Day

Two Saturdays ago we went on a family fishing trip. Jeremy was inspired after talking to his sister about their family fishing day. Ty got a new batman fishing pole and along with a picnic, headed up to Big Cottonwood Canyon. We went to the same river Jeremy took me to on one of our first few dates. It was a perfect, beautiful day.

Ty was interested in fishing for about 30 seconds then thought it would be much more fun to wander through the trails and trees, or "the jungle" as he called it.

But that all changed the minute they caught an actual fish. Ty LOVED the fish and couldn't get enough of holding it (gross) and playing with it.

Cam was just his cute happy self all day. Happy to do whatever the rest of us are doing.

Again with the touching of the fish.

Ty loved the canyon, and wondering off into the "jungle".

Jeremy was in dad heaven. He loves to fly fish and being able to spend a day doing it with his family was almost more than he could handle. Later that day we spent a night at his sisters time share in park city where we swam and had more fun. The best part for Jeremy and Ty however was when we cooked up that fish. Ty ate half of it! The next morning he woke up and the first words out of his mouth were "I caught a fish and ate it"! He still talks about it :) It was a perfect day.
